We are a community that comes together to discuss, learn, and experience our unique expressions of spirituality.
No rules. No dogma. No agenda. Period.
We are not a “church.” There is nothing wrong with church, it’s just that “church” conjures the image of worship or a community gathering that often expresses as some liturgy: singing, spoken word, and ritual. The key difference at Fairbanks Spiritual Explorers is that we come to discuss spirituality and learn from each other. There is no liturgy or set type of service order. We are a study group.
Together, we explore our unique paths to get in touch with our spiritual nature. There are many paths in life, paths as unique as we are. Through group exploration we discuss topics that get us in touch with our relationship to the universe. We talk about that essence that sees and knows consciousness exists. What is that which knows that I exist, I feel, and I matter?
Activities
When we get together we may:
- Discuss a book in a series
- Watch a spiritually themed video
- Explore how a piece of music or art inspires us
- Explore spiritual practices and principles
- And much more!
Underserved Communities
We seek to be inclusive of underserved communities such as those who identify as agnostic, LGBTQIA+, individuals traumatized by past religious experiences, and more. If you want to get in touch with your spiritual nature, give us a try and see if we fit the bill. We’re different by design.
