With the precision of gravity, the spiritual laws of the universe act upon our thoughts individually and as a collective. Just like gravity will work for you no matter who you are, what you think, or what your political views may be, the spiritual realm responds in kind to your thinking without judgment. The Law of Cause and Effect produces an effect for every cause. Our thoughts and actions are causative.
An invisible metaphysical force
When I truly believe I can accomplish something, the universe has a tendency to conspire to make it happen. To the degree that I nurture my beliefs and continue to believe, the universe will support me. There are two parts to this: creating the original thought and sustaining our faith in the process. To learn the piano I must first believe that I can do so. My nurturing this thought is to practice. Without practice I am unlikely to become the pianist that I wish to be. There is a part of me that becomes more confident, my muscle memory in my fingers strengthen, and before you know it I’m playing the piano with some level of competence.
Where does the universe come into play? Metaphysically there is a support structure that acts upon our thoughts (cause) and produces results (effect). Yes, you can explain this through neuroscience. As we practice playing the piano, we are building neural pathways that make it possible for us to move our fingers in patterns that produce music. There is a memory produced by these pathways so that we retain the learned skill. What grows these pathways? We cannot explain that fully with just science. This is where the metaphysical support comes in.
Seed, soil, plant
When I plant a tomato seed in the soil, some force works on the seed, and a tomato plant is the result. It works with precision. We don’t get a watermelon plant from a tomato seed. What is this force? Science cannot explain the force behind the chemical and physical process of growing the seed into a plant. The seed is the pattern (cause) and the plant is the (effect). There is a creative force in the universe that translates cause into effect.
The power of the collective mind
So if individual thoughts are creative, how much more so are collective thoughts? Collective thoughts are very powerful. We can trace the effects back to the cause. If you don’t like what you see, work back to the causative thoughts in the collective to understand more fully. Change the thought processes and the effect will be different. If you are unhappy with a result, it is upon us to change the thinking that spurred the event. Worrying, while needing to be honored, does not change the result. We must move forward to change the original causative thought patterns to see a different effect.
We cannot separate our physical world from the metaphysical. They are partners and the physical and spiritual laws are coordinated. We need to understanding the spiritual laws just as well as we seek to understand the physical ones.
